Scarlet's House .3.

Pine lazily stretched out on the padio. Her eyes closed and she breathed slowly. She kept her ears perked, though. She knew what Scarlet wwas doing. Making lunch for the both of them.

A lean tabby tom lay in front of her, green eyes glowing. Behind hem a small fat dog lie asleep. The tabby was licking the dog's head, whispering something only the dog could here.

Pine didn't happen to notice the two creatures laying close together. A cat and a dog..? She let out a low growl and she stood up. She trotted down the steps and padded over. Her blue eyes flicked from the cat to the dog. "Excuse me," she said, her tail raised up confidently. She knew she had just gotten into the K9 forces, and she had to learn to consult others. She wanted to know what their plans were. "You'd best be careful. If you two like being strays, you'd better leave. If my owner sees you two out here, she'll take you in for sure. She'd think a dog like you would be a good K9 dog like me, and a cat like you would be a good snuggle pet."

"I'm Tommy." the cat laughed at the thought of being a 'snuggle pet'. "Hi, I'm chewie!!" the dog woofed, tirpping over the cat. "OW! Dumb dog!" he yowled. "Sorry, Tommy" the dog whimpered.

OOC:Cewie is 10+ lb. over-weight, I would know. He is my puppy, Tommy is also mine, IRL.

ic: Pine sniffed. These animals didn't seem like the devious type. "Nice to meet you two. I'm Pine. My owner is Scarlet. What are you two up to?"

IC:"We were sleeping here for the night." Tommy mewed, sitting up. Chewie walked up to Pine. "You're a police dog!!" he barked. "I've always wanted to be one!!"

"Really?" She couldn't help but begin to feel red. "Well, ah.. I uh.. just joined, so I don't know much about it.. i'm just in training, honestly." She stared at Tommy. "I never knew cats and dogs could get along.."

"We don't get along persay, but I was 3 weekd old when he found me." he mewed, cleaning his flank. "Wow. I like your eyes. What was your name again?" he woofed. His ears perked. "Is that your owner?"

Pine began to blush. M- my eyes are pretty? She began to speak, but stopped abruptly when she heard the door open and close. "Is that your owner?" asked Chewie. She whipped around to see a tall black-haired girl holding a shiny silver bowl. She looked back from them to her owner. "You two've gotta go! My owner-- she'll see you!" She felt as if her owner was right behind her. She was. "Oh, Piney, who're your friends? Come in for a moment and eat, and you can come back out." Pine felt her collar being yanked a bit before Scarlet disappeared into the house. Well that was embarassing. She glanced from Chewie to her house. "Um.. i'll be back in a second, okay, Chewie, Tommy." Pine padded off and went into her home from a small doggie door in the front door.

"But...." chewie whimpered. "Stupid, srupid, stupid!!" he growled at himself. "Aww, it's okay buddy, let's eat. I caught some squirrels." Tommy mewed, pushing a squirrel towards the small dog. "Thanks...." Chewie whimpered

Pine ate slowly and thoughtfully. Chewie.. he said my eyes were pretty.. My.. eyes.. my eyes are.. pretty..!? After many minutes, she licked her lips and started towards the door. She peered through the doggie door. She wondered if they were hungry; not having any food out in the wild. Hm? Is that a squirrel? They eat squirrels? Hm... the wild seems really tough.. She nosed the door open and padded out.

Chewie perked his ears. "Pine!" he barked. "Have you ever tasted squirrel?" The tabby tom came up. "I'm gonna go sleep" he mewed.

Pine looked down at the dead carcass of the rodent. He's trying to be nice.. don't make him upset.. "Augh.. um.. no.. it um.. looks delicious," she lied.

"Okay." he woofed, eating the rest. "So, uh, what is your owner's name?"

"Scarlet," she barked. Strange. I already told him my name and my owners name. He didn't know my name when I walked in my home. When I came out, he knew it! Now he forgot my owner's name! He's one weird pooch! She curled her fluffy tail around her paws. "Where are you two off to, anyways?"

Kylie had been wandering around, trying to make animals uncomfortable and succeeded. she smiled at the animals, showing them her pointy, white teeth. She finally came across a group of 3 animals and stared at them, her scar glistening in the sun.

"Why hello there!" she called, still smiling, but soon turned into a big grin. I have something special in plan for these fools... she though evilly.

"Hi." the do barked. "Hi." the cat mewed, both uninterested.

"Eugh.. a rat.." she whined. She slapped the small ferret away with her paw.

Tommy grabbed the thing and flung it across the street. "There."
"So, uh, would your owner adopt us?" Chewie barked "I think it would be great."

Pine's eyes glimmered with hope. "Yes! Yes! She would!" she howled. She ran to the door and pawed at it even though there was a doggie door. Moments later, a tall lady appeared. She looked down at her frantic dog. She rubbed her head. "What is it, girl? What is it?" Pine took her hand in her jaws lightly and she lead her to the two animals. "Your friends?" Scarlet said. She squatted down and extended her hand to the animals.

The tabby rubbed against he leg. The dog licked her hand. Chewie winked at Pine.

"Awwwww..." she cooed, "they're soooo cute! Yes you are! Yes you aaaarreee!" she sang. She stroked Tommy and petted Chewie. Scarlet reached into her pocket. She took out a dog treat. "This was for you, Pine, but your friends seem hungry.. Pine, lead them inside, baby." She patted her leg and skipped inside. Pine laughed. "Sorry! She's embarrassing when it comes to new pets.." she woofed. She lead them inside, making sure her paws weren't dirty before padding in.

Chewie and Tommy laughed. ""We get that alot." Tommy mewed. Chewie followed Pine, as did Tommy. "WOW!" he woofed. "I like it."

"Haaah... Thanks. Make yourself at home," Pine said. Scarlet set down a bowl. "I don't have cat food. I'll be right back," she called, walking out the door and closing it behind her.

"Well, eat up, Chewie.. i'll be right back."

Chewie stared at it. "What is it......." he barked. "Eh, I don't care." He ate the food. "So, wanna show me around?" he asked.
