Pine relaxed on the couch, taking in all of the free time she got.

Edwin excitedly barked and pawed at a small yellow thing he had knocked out of a tree with Charlotte.

Charlotte laughed. "Wow this goey stuff inside tastes yummy! Try it," she barked.

Sam was sitting on Tommy. "This kitty is fun!!" she woofed.

Chewie let the pups play. While Tommy sat there, annoyed.

Pine laughed. "Kids," she barked, "go get uncle Tommy!" Suddenly, two excited pups bowled into him.

"We love you uncle Tommy!" barked Edwin.

"Yeah! Come chase us! You're it!" laughed Charlotte. Her and Edwin scurried into the front yard.

Sam ran after them. "Wait up!" she woofed.

Tommy sighed. "Why do you do this Pine?" he mewed.

Sam was sitting on Tommy again, so were the other pups.

Pine shifted uneasily and she looked up to see her owner talking on the phone. "Yes, come over to see them, please. I hope you see them to your liking.." Pine stared at her, hoping that ... she really wasn't going to give away her pups.

Sam ran over to her mother and tried to climb to her.

"Sam," she laughed. Her ears perked as the doorbell rang. Scarlet opened the door and another human walked in. "Take a look," she said. Pine had a growl beginning in her throat, but she didn't let her owner hear. She swiftly tucked Sam under her paws. "Edwin! Charlotte! Come here! Please!"

"Who's that momma?" Sam whined. Tommy padded up, rubbing against the new-commer.

ic: Pine swiftly grabbed Tommy, incase the human was going to take Tommy, too. "That is a pup-buyer. Once a dog has pups, human's instincts are to sell them to pup-buyers. Stay by me, kids," she whined. She motioned for her mate to gather the other pups.

Chewie grabbed the other pups and set them with Sam. "Oh." she whispered. Tommy hissed and stalked away up stairs.

Scarlet squatted down to face Pine. "Now, now, Pine," she scolded, tugging Sam out of Pine's grasp. "Here's Sammy, I hope you like her. You want to see the others?" Pine let out a bark of alarm. "Sam! No! Put down my pup!" she warned.
